UFC fighters have their primary goal of winning the belt and the throne, but once in a while, a huge bonus does not hurt. However, Dana White sometimes does not give the deserved bonus to his fighters, and this is when the managers step in. Ali Abdelaziz recently claimed that he once did the same for his star fighter, Justin Gaethje as he was not given $500,000 for performing well.

He revealed this story in the ‘Show me the Money’ podcast and described how he compelled White to give the whole money to Gaethje.

Abdelaziz is known for defending his fighters. Once he defended Khabib Nurmagomedov when Conor McGregor had talked ill about his family. Similarly, the Egyptian executive was adamant that Gaethje should get a bonus of $500,000. However, he also said that he has no animosity with Dana White because they are a team. He narrated the story in a recent episode of the ‘Show me the Money’ podcast of how he chased UFC and White to give Gaethje his deserved bonus.

He said, “I’ll tell you a story. During Covid, Justin Gaethje was to fight Tony Ferguson, right? And I thought Justin deserved $500,000. He [Dana White] said, no I’ll give him 350, and I was like, hey you guys cheap mot*** you are so cheap like. And I got so mad. I always have cash with me. And I went to my house, and I got $150,000 in a box. And it was Covid, so everything was closed. I dropped it at the front desk of UFC security.”

He also told the security to give it to Hunter and then the UFC team chased Abdelaziz for 10 days to return his money. Eventually, they succumbed and paid Gaethje the complete money. This is how much the Egyptian executive supports his UFC fighters. He also once defended Khabib Nurmagomedov when McGregor insulted his family.

In an episode of ‘Home of Fight,”, ‘Durinho’ asked Abdelaziz about the relationship that he has with Conor McGregor. The ex-fighter and executive immediately said, “I don’t like him.” He further stated, “He talks bad about my friend’s family, father, wife. Somebody talks about his wife or his kids or something, it’s on-site. 100% it’s a fight. If you want to talk about Khabib, okay, talk. I understand. He calls me like a terrorist. He’s like, it’s okay. But when you start going to family stuff, you know, if I manage a client, and you fought Gilbert, and he talks about his kids? Same day. I will not be with this, this guy ever again”
