At the start of the podcast, Bet-David read out a news excerpt that stated that the former POTUS and presumptive GOP nominee for president in 2024, appeared in UFC 299 on Saturday night at Kaseya Center in Miami FL. The excerpt also said that the crowd went wild as he entered the stadium. But the behind-the-scenes shenanigans of how Trump was brought to the event, is one hell of a roller coaster ride. The PDB host narrated the story he found out from White backstage in UFC 299. He stated, “Dana says, ‘You won’t believe who texted me last night at 2:30 am’, I said ‘Who?’ He says, ‘Trump texts me at 2:30 and says ‘Look I’m in Georgia doing a rally…’”

The political commentator, entrepreneur, and author then went on to describe that again at 8:00 a.m. the next day Trump texted White that he was still trying to make it to the UFC 299. However, the former President was in Atlanta for a rally. So clearly there was no way for him to reach the tournament in time. The UFC CEO and his team were slowly getting stressed because it was 6:00 PM and the former President was still speaking from Atlanta.

Finally, just like a movie scene, Trump successfully came into the stadium at 10:00 and David says, “Anyway, you go to the fight, next thing you know 10:00 all of a sudden, the place goes wild.” This entrance was wild as the sold-out crowd cheered and hollered for Trump. The applause was thunderous as he made his entrance to the UFC 299 and he was seen being accompanied by Dana White, his long-time friend. The two eminent personalities have known each other for a long time, which is why Trump has been a common fixture at UFC events. How did this unlikely friendship come to be?
