The controversial star Andrew Tate extended his backing to former UFC star Darren Till. The British fighter, who had a rough past few years, recently ran into some troubles with authorities and had to appear in court. ‘Gorilla’, recently cut from the UFC roster and inching closer to the transition to boxing, is facing charges of three distinct driving offenses.

Trouble seems to find the former UFC fighter, as he previously had to register his presence in a court in Sweden over drunk driving in 2022. As reported by the Swedish news outlet Expressen, authorities had arrested him on DUI charges. Likewise, in 2019, he got slapped with a fine of £10,000 after joyriding a taxi cab in Tenerife along with four other individuals. It appears the 30-year-old is again in trouble. But this time with an ally Andrew Tate by his side.

The controversial influencer Andrew Tate took to his Twitter handle and issued words of assurance for Till. Not only did he trigger a hashtag of ‘Freedarren’ but also labeled it a Matrix attack. Tate made headlines for shooting down accusations of manipulation in an interview with BBC’s Lucy Williamson. He has gained notoriety over the years for his controversial comments about women.

Till was charged with driving while disqualified on Ternhall Road, Fazakerley, on May 21, 2023. The other charges included driving without insurance and then preventing a constable in the execution of his duty. There were already charges against him for driving-related offenses and hence stands ‘disqualified’ by the authorities.

Till only recorded his name, age, and address during the hearing. Further, the court granted him unconditional bail and asked him to appear on August 30th for the trial.
