Dana White and UFC have managed to put the throne in the combat sports industry over the last two decades. Even though boxing has always been the most popular sport for 50 years, MMA is not far behind. People have debated whether a decline in boxing is due to the sport not having iconic stars as they did in the past. Some people also blame the five titles in boxing and 17 different weight classes.

Saudi Advisor Turki Alalshikh is on a mission to make some of the biggest fights in boxing happen in the Middle East. Meanwhile, this has got the attention of the UFC CEO who praised him but also talked about the shady future of boxing.

During a chat with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo, White spoke about how he makes the match for a particular fight with the other people on the team every Tuesday. He also pushes the team to make the best possible fights that they can get their hands on. Then he went on to talk about Alalshikh. White said, “If Saudi Arabia can’t make this happen right now Nobody can make it happen. You know what I mean if these guys can’t do it nobody can do it.”

White also talked about what he thought was ruining the sport of boxing. However, during that same discussion, the Saudi adviser caught some praise from the 54-year-old CEO. During the podcast, he stated, “Turki Alalshikh, so this guy now has unlimited amounts of money. He’s trying to make the best possible fights that you could make. It’s gonna be interesting to see what he does over the next several years.”

However, Dana White also believes that even after having unlimited amounts of money certain fights still cannot be made and this is because of the boxing mentality. According to this mentality, there is a tendency to duck fights. Meanwhile, there is one boxing match-up that he does not seem to like at all.

Which boxing match does the CEO not like?

UFC CEO Dana White is a very close friend of Mike Tyson but is in an uncomfortable spot talking about the matchup between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. White also took a jibe at the ‘Problem Child’ and said that he could not fight a person of his age and lost. Mocking Paul, he said, “I just saw this thing on the internet yesterday and I reposted it where it says if he beats Mike Tyson, he’s going to fight Clint Eastwood next who’s 93 years old.”

Everyone has different ideas about the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight. It seems like Dana White is in the group who does not want this fight to happen especially due to the age gap. Do you agree with Dana White’s take on the boxing Scenario?
