The incident that changed Rogan’s attitude toward knockouts

Rogan stated that he was 19 years old at the time of this incident. He also said that this incident happened while he was fighting for the national finals. After winning his first fight, Rogan was all set to take on a “kid” from Chicago. It was only Rogan and his coach, ‘Jungsik’ on his side while his opponent had arrived with their whole team.

Rogan said, I remember them saying ‘Come on Johnny, Get him Johnny, Get him Johnny'”. Rogan was quick to spot a few opportunities since his opponent was a bit slow. Then, Rogan struck him “harder” than he had “ever hit anybody in his life”. He said, “I hit him with a wheel kick. I hit him so hard that I was limping for a couple of days afterwards coz my heel hurt from hitting his head and I flatlined him”.
