Conor McGregor was helped by Dana White amid some losses in business

‘Mystic Macsadly lost many sponsorships and deals because of the civil lawsuit case. This included retailers taking down Proper 12 whiskey from their shelves and this dropped off his liquor brand sales in the $685.8 B industry. However, when it comes to Black Forge Inn, it seems like the pub is doing very well. Why? Because it never stops receiving patrons and famous visitors! Recently McGregor posted a picture inside the pub with members of Hells Angels (a biker organization). Up to 300 Hells Angels bikers came to Dublin recently as motorcycle fans and the group members docked in Ireland for a major international meet-up.

But do you remember who else graced his pub? It was none other than Dana White! Yes, it was not recent and was back in September butThe Notorious’ recently reminisced about the same and reposted the photos on his Instagram story. The first story was a picture of the UFC head honcho and Silvio Danilo, who is a chef at the Black Forge.  McGregor captioned it, “life at Forge,” while writing, “Big feed incoming for @danawhite,” on the next story with a picture of a delicious sizzling meal.

But all wholesomeness aside, did the boss and former dual-weight champ forget their tension? Back in September 2024, there was some bad blood between them because McGregor demanded fight dates and did not get any. He was really set on fighting in December of 2024, but White had other plans and pushed it to the next year. However, the boss still visited the UFC star’s award-winning establishment while staying in Ireland.

Amid the loss of some business sponsors, what might have motivated McGregor to tag the UFC CEO in a previous post of his visit to Black Forge Inn? Maybe he wants the boss to visit again, or maybe he wants a fight and the boss is flying in for a chat. Who knows?  What we do know is that the UFC star does not leave any door closed. From being an owner of pubs and promotions like BKFC to being a record label owner, he has dabbled in everything. Now he’s tearing up the turf in Sunday league soccer!

Conor McGregor shocked the UFC world with his soccer stint

He recently made an unexpected appearance for his Black Forge Inn soccer team during a United Church’s Football League match. The match was against Harding FC in Dublin and the UFC star donned the number 11 jersey while playing on the left wing in the game.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw but more than the score, what attracted the fans was  Conor McGregor’s unique approach on the field. A video clip has surfaced that showed the Irishman grabbing the shirts of his opponents and pulling them down to seize the opportunity and even kicking players which caused controversy, especially among soccer fans.

The MMA world chimed in immediately, with BigJohn McCarthy speaking about the same in the Weighing In podcast. Co-host Josh Thomson was amused by Conor McGregor’s soccer performance, anointing McGregor’s kick a “rub-kick.” Thomson quipped, “He was throwing kicks to the ball that weren’t even close to his foot. He was kicking people in the body. He was slide-tackling when the ball was 50/50. Like, what are you doing? I mean, good thing he fights better than he plays soccer. It was hilarious to watch.”

However, McGregor uploaded pictures from the event and even included a photo of a bleeding shin injury sustained during the game. The Irishman might be dabbling into different industries and regaining his footing in his business ventures but one question remains. When is he going to make his anticipated return in the Octagon?
