Training camps before an upcoming fight are the norm. But not for Khamzat Chimaev. The Swedish fighter trains twelve months of the year, irrespective of his fighting schedule. And it appears he steamrolls his sparring partners too.

A year-old video of ‘Borz’ is again making the rounds on the internet, where UFC star Sean Strickland is imparting words of wisdom to him. A strange world indeed. Last year, filmmaker Youcef Hollywood filmed ‘Tarzan’ as the fighter trained at the Xtreme Couture gym in Las Vegas. However, there was one segment of his project that gained traction when he addressed Chimaev’s training mindset.

In the video, the fans could hear Strickland asking Chimaev to “be nice”. Further, the middleweight fighter asked the Swede not to hurt people. Chimaev’s close friend and former UFC fighter, Darren Till, could also be spotted breaking a sweat.

“Have you sparred him? He gets a little bit (raises hand). A little bit. Be nice. Khamzat, understand you’re better than most of — you’re better than everybody. So just don’t hurt people,” Strickland told Chimaev.

This amusing interaction left the fans guessing. As a result, they speculated on what would have happened in the training session that prompted Strickland to hand Chimaev a lesson.

Notably, Strickland will face Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 for the middleweight crown. On the other hand, Chimaev and Paulo Costa square off at UFC 294, ending his one-year layoff.
