Former UFC bantamweight champion, Petr Yan, has issued a response to Rob Font after the latter called him out for a fight. Font defeated former champion Cody Garbrandt last weekend via unanimous decision.
He is looking for a higher-ranked opponent next. In a recent interview, Font said a fight against ‘No Mercy’ will be ideal for him.
“Gimme Petr Yan right now, then we get it going. I doubt that happens maybe. I don’t know we’ll see what’s up. But give me Petr Yan. He’s the only one that’s available.

“And make it happen, you know, like the fans want to see exciting fights. I know that’s an exciting fight. And then I’ll take care of the belt for you. Sit back, don’t worry about the belt, I’ll take care of it,” said Font.
“Don’t try to bite off more than you can chew. You couldn’t even knock Cody No Chin out with your pillow hands,” Yan has responded after Font’s callout.

Font pummeled Garbrandt with his strikes for almost the entire contest. But ‘No Love’ put his toughness on full display. There are often questions asked about Garbrandt’s chin as he has lost multiple times by knockout; nonetheless, that wasn’t the case last time. However, that didn’t stop Yan from taking a shot at Font.
Is Petr Yan vs Rob Font the fight to make?

Stylistically, a matchup between the duo is extremely intriguing for the fans. However, that fight getting booked immediately next looks highly unlikely.
Yan is expected to rematch for the title when the champion is fit to go again. So, Font might just have to look elsewhere for an opponent currently.
