UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis seems to be picking a fight with Khamzat Chimaev before UFC 319. ‘Stillknocks’ did not miss the chance of sending a thunderous andcontroversial attack to his upcoming challenger, even thoughBorz’ was the one who started the feud. 

In a recent war on X, ‘Borz’ decided to instigate ‘Stillknocks’ by taking a jibe at his coaching staff. He uploaded a picture ofStillknocksand his team, who didn’t seem as physically fit in comparison to the middleweight champ. The Chechen warrior captioned the post with doughnut emojis to poke fun at the South African entourage

And true to form, Du Plessis decided to reply with a pretty controversial remark in reply to the post. He posted,O sh— would get you but there’s no inbred emoji.” This incident was posted by Home of Fight as well :Khamzat Chimaev posted a picture with Dricus Du Plessis team and added five donuts to it with a laughing emoji. Dricus Du Plessis fires back.”

However, this is not the first back-and-forth that reached its boiling point. Before this, Chimaev had remarked that he was getting ready form**derwhile Du Plessis was preparing forwar’.Let them prep for war, I’m prepping for murder,” Chimaev said of Du Plessis while speaking to sports journalist Adam Zubayraev.

Khamzat Chimaev and Dricus Du Plessis are leaving no stones unturned for UFC 319

The middleweight division’s biggest fight is about to take place in August, and this will shake up the division for sure. The chaotic kitchen sink-style of Dricus Du Plessis meets the undefeated and relentlessness of Khamzat Chimaev. With the fight just 3 odd months away, the duo is strengthening their skill sets for a fight that can change the trajectory of their careers. 

In a recent Instagram post Chimaev showcased the wisdom he received from his veteran coach Salim Nutsalkhanov. He always seems to rely on his coach and was seen taking his advice during his fight against Robert Whittaker as well, and we all know how he defeatedThe Reaper’.

The Chechen warrior trains at Akhmat Fight Club based out of Grozny, a Russian city near the Sunzha River. On the other hand, Du Plessis took to his Instagram, sharing a clip of his training as he warned his opponent to expect the hardest fight of his professional career. “I don’t care how good you think you are, how tough, how fit or how strong, when you step into that octagon with me, it will be a first-time experience and not a pleasant one, that’s a promise, wrote Dricus Du Plessis.
