Now, with the 21-13 record holder out of UFC, Poirier has his eyes on the elder Diaz brother.

Dustin Poirier is interested in fighting Nick Diaz

Fast forward to 2023, and Poirier has looked in fine touch lately. He won against Michael Chandler at UFC 281 in one of the most entertaining matches of recent UFC history. ‘Diamond’ had recently posted a photo on Twitter with the caption “who is next?”, and when a fan suggested Nick Diaz, Poirier replied with “what weight? “

This response has ignited speculation that a fight between the two could be in the works. It seems like Poirier wants to fight a Diaz, no matter if it’s Nick or Nate. The 34-year-old does not have a clear opponent in sight right now. Another win in the lightweight division can take him closer to a title match.
