The new star of the UFC lightweight division won his last fight in a very controversial manner. On top of that, he was praised by the poster boy of the promotion for his win. Conor McGregor in doing so received a lot of backlash from fans. Although he is accustomed to it by now, it wasn’t because he messed up for a change.

The UFC 282 co-main event was riddled with controversy. Paddy Pimblett won against Jared Gordon at UFC 282 with a judge’s decision. Although Gordon looked the more dominant fighter in the first 2 rounds, the win was given to the Scouser.

This sparked outrage in the MMA community, with fighters and fans expressing their disbelief toward the fight’s outcome. Moreover, Pimblett, in his post-fight interview went on to claim that he dominated the fight and the result was quite fair.

‘The Notorious’ is a well-known compatriot of the Scouser. Recently in a video uploaded by ‘The Baddy’, McGregor was seen face-timing him. Pimblett took his entire team to ‘The Black Forge Inn’ owned by Conor McGregor for a feast.

Moreover, McGregor, being the gracious host he was, paid the full bill. The whole thing was filmed on the vlog by Pimblett and was well-received by fans.
