Despite his 58 years, he follows a strict regimen. Workout clips of Joe Rogan have gone viral in the past. So stand-up comic and co-creator of Impractical Jokers, Sal Vulcano, joined Rogan in JRE‘s latest episode. The show had barely begun, and the duo started discussing food and fitness. Rogan’s revelations are bound to leave quite a few mouths open!

Joe Rogan’s secret? Health with a hearty appetite

Earlier, Vulcano shared that he and his wife welcomed their second child. As he congratulated the comedian, Joe Rogan wondered how old he was and whether he’d thought about his future when his child turns 20. The discussion invariably turned to maintaining good health in later life. So speaking about his own experience, Rogan said, “Most of my Instagram algorithm is things that I shouldn’t eat. Yeah. It’s like sandwiches. Sandwiches and pizza.” He acknowledged that food items like that may not be good for health. But, on the flip side, he doesn’t seem to have faced any problem eating sandwiches and pizzas. “Mostly I eat good stuff,” he insisted.

Sal Vulcano asked whether, like most fitness enthusiasts, Rogan restricted himself to egg whites only. The UFC commentator denied it. He preferred whole eggs and chicken. The response only intrigued Vulcano, who quizzed Rogan – did he weigh his food like Olympians? Once again, the UFC commentator refuted. “No. No. I eat way too much. If I weighed my food, I’d be like, ‘I eat for a 300 lb. man,’he said, bursting into laughter.

Fitness that hits every angle

Joe Rogan exercises regularly, but he has never shied away from finishing a large steak. “If I go out to dinner, I will eat a large steak. I will have multiple sides. I will have multiple appetizers, and then I look like I’m pregnant when I leave,” he said, admitting, “I f**king eat, I eat a lot of food, man. It’s not. It’s not smart,” he said.

Reportedly, Joe Rogan does many kinds of exercises. It includes kettlebell swings, clean presses, bodyweight squats, push-ups, renegade rows, and Nordic curls. Additionally, as part of combat training, he practices martial arts like Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu.

He trains often, about five days a week, and his goal is to build functional strength, cardio endurance, and overall conditioning, not just muscle size.
