The absence of Conor McGregor has bugged the fans, but not for long. The Irishman has devoted his time off the Octagon to a new ambitious venture- Hollywood. He will soon appear in the upcoming Hollywood project, ‘Road House’ along with Jake Gyllenhaal. The Irishman finished shooting early this year and has now teased an update on his journey into Tinseltown.
The former UFC champion is on a long layoff since his UFC 264 leg injury. The 34-year-old’s injury afforded him an opportunity to realize his Hollywood dream as it freed his busy schedule. Many UFC stars, such as Ronda Rousey, ventured into Hollywood due to their rising popularity. It was a matter of time before ‘The Notorious’ made headways on the silver screen. When Doug Liman approached the fighter, he saw the movie as a perfect fit to showcase his acting skills. Now, a year later on, he is ready to captivate fans with prodigal skills on camera.

Previously, the production team of Road House had made UFC their playground when they shot at UFC 285. The team used the arena-filled event to shoot some scenes for the movie. The fans were left amazed at the highlight reel finish by the Hollywood actor. It was none other than the Irish fighter who taught his co-star the art of landing shots.

McGregor imparted some MMA tricks to Jake Gyllenhaal
In an interview, McGregor revealed he taught Gyllenhaal the shots that exploded on the internet. He said, “I taught the shots, and the shots were pretty good… All we wanted was the shots, not like technically mixed martial arts. I didn’t want that.”
The Hollywood project is expected to release in the upcoming months and might well turn out to be McGregor’s only grand appearance this year. His troubles with USADA have pulled a plug on his fight with Michael Chandler. However, fans are still hopeful of his comeback along with a silver screen appearance.
