Brandon Moreno, former flyweight champion, recently switched his coach. The reason for the urgent change was his old coach, James Krause, getting banned. Following the ban, Moreno has been in search of a new gym. The talented fighter found his shelter at Fortis MMA, whose head coach is Sayif Saud. The coach has established a great training house directly affiliated with the UFC.

Saud has provided the UFC with a lot of deadly fighters and has proven to be one of the best coaches. Although Moreno has supported his former coach in the past he had to switch the team out of compulsion.

What was Moreno’s compulsion?

Last month, coach Krause was caught up in a fixing controversy. He was accused of leaking all the information to the gambling community beforehand. Though, it was only after his public claim of earning more money through gambling rather than coaching that the suspicion grew loud.

As a result, he was asked to not coach any UFC fighters until further notice. After his revoked license, the UFC coach had to comply with the notice. Brandon Moreno and all other fighters have been suggested to not associate with the coach. Even if the NSAC’s suspicion proves to be wrong; there is nothing the coach and his fighters can do for now. This further implies how one should always take public statements seriously. Moreover, not indulge in anything to raise suspicion.
