“Fu*k You. You’re a Cheater”: Legendary MMA Referee Gives Verdict on BKFC Vaseline Fiasco

Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez has made serious accusations against former boxing champion Austin Trout. The former has accused him of cheating during their recent bare-knuckle boxing match at BKFC KnuckleMania 3. The bout, which took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, ended in Trout winning by a fourth-round TKO. However, Sanchez claimed that he was at an unfair disadvantage during the fight due to Trout‘s overuse of Vaseline. Moreover, Josh Thomson and John McCarthy in a recent video talk about the incident.
Trout‘s corner was applying Vaseline to his shoulders; which was caught on cameras. This led the accusations to become more serious, leading to Sanchez claiming foul. Moreover, Sanchez threatened to sue Trout. According to Sanchez, his opponent overused the Vaseline, due to which he was unable to utilize the clinch him; which, according to him, was a key part of his game plan.

After the fight, Sanchez took to the issue and claimed that Trout was overly greasy. Sanchez‘s accusations have caused a stir in the fighting community, with many questioning the validity of the fight’s outcome.
John McCarthy tears apart Trout’s camp for cheating against Diego Sanchez
McCarthy recalled how good and scary Trout is. He talked about being present during Trout‘s fights so he knows about his capabilities. He, however, blamed the commission and the corner-men instead of the fighter. McCarthy called Trout a ‘slick boxer’. However, the commission should not have allowed this to happen. He questioned how can could they sit there and watch this unfold.
He said, “Again the guy who did it the cut man, whatever that was in his corner, you know fu*k you you’re a cheater. Sorry, pissing me off.”

McCarthy did not understand why he put Vaseline on the back of his neck. Moreover, not only did he apply Vaseline to his face. He also applied it to his neck, lips, and nose. This made it difficult for the former UFC fighter to take control of the fight during the clinch.
Josh Thomson reveals how Sanchez’s game plan was ruined
Thomson also during the video reveals how Sanchez was calling him out. Sanchez revealed that he was looking forward to uppercut him after getting him on the clinch.

He said, “Diego was calling him out, too. Diego’s, look, my game plan was to clinch him and uppercut him and hit the body and then uppercut to the face. That was my game plan, he’s like, and then I couldn’t get my grip. And he showed a video of it on YouTube. Not on YouTube but on Instagram.”
Furthermore, he goes on to say that it doesn’t mean that Sanchez would have won. However, for sure, it would have affected the fight.
