‘He Deserves Better’- Daniel Cormier, Michael Bisping and Other UFC Broadcasters Defend Joe Rogan From Online Criticism

Joe Rogan trending on Twitter for the worst possible reasons has seemingly become the norm in recent years. The famed UFC commentator and podcaster found himself at the end of a hit piece recently that criticized his work on the mic. The article suggested that Rogan’s efforts on the UFC commentary bench have been subpar as time has gone on.
While it’s true that Rogan’s involvement has reduced recently, the article claimed that Rogan’s co-commentators themselves wouldn’t mind seeing him get the ax from the UFC. However, virtually the entire UFC commentary team came out and defended Rogan, praising his contribution to the production team over the years.
These sentiments were spurred on after Joe Rogan missed UFC 266 on account of a hunting trip he had planned out. Moreover, he only calls pay-per-view fights that are taking place in the United States and he’s stopped traveling internationally for cards.

Daniel Cormier, Michael Bisping, and others take a stand for Joe Rogan
While bashing Rogan on Twitter may have become a mainstay, his contemporaries seemingly have had enough. A Twitter user tagged the staple members of the UFC broadcasting team and asked them to opine on views put forth by the article. Jon Anik was the first to come out and called out the article for being the directed hit piece that many believed it was.
This is the height of ignorance. Lie after lie, assumption after assumption. He deserves better.

Other notable names from the commentary bench including Michael Bisping and Daniel Cormier also came out in full force. Both men talked about Rogan’s contribution to the UFC’s production machine that spans over two decades. Many synonymously associated Joe Rogan’s name with the UFC brand as a whole.

For me @joerogan is the man when it comes to commentating. it’s just become trendy to knock him for some insanely strange reason. I watch him and learn every time. He has fascinating takes and a way with words I can only aspire to. And this isn’t me being a company man either. https://t.co/doYSHKkgrf

While Megan Olivi retweeted Daniel Cormier’s views on her timeline, Paul Felder came up with a quirky response. In typical Felder fashion, ‘The Irish Dragon’ kept things simple, but let his point be abundantly clear.
