Hollywood Star Michael Jai White Drops the Truth Bomb on Turning Down the ‘2017 BET Awards Nominated’ Role

Michael Jai White recently talked about the rumors surrounding him. Many believed that Jai White turned down the offer of a lead role in ‘Power’. According to Michael Jai White, all the rumors about him are not true at all. During the casting of ‘Power, Jai White was engaged in a TV show with Mike Perry. Being a busy actor, Jai White was not available during the filming of Power, season 1. The rumors said that they cast the MMA practitioner for the role of Ghost. Ghost was a drug dealer who was not at all happy with his life and wanted to make some significant changes. Being a successful actor, it is natural for White not to be available for all the projects he gets offered.

Omari Hardwick later took up the role of Ghost. The character was able to garner the attention of the public and was later nominated for the 2017 BETS Awards. In an interview with DJ Vlad, Jai White mentioned that Hardwick is a good friend of his and that he is happy about the success of the series. Now, he has once again provided some clarity on the matter.

 The ‘Tyson’ actor recently detailed the rumors surrounding him on the podcast, Cheque Runnerz Podcast. During the interview, the interviewer asked, “Michael, is it true that you turn down the lead role in ‘Power?'” As a reply to the question, Jai White answered, “That’s not true at all.” Later, the interviewer asked if he was busy doing the television show with Tyler Perry while casting in ‘Power’ was going on. As a reply to the question, he said, “Oh hell no, no I mean it’s a rumor. I’ve heard this rumor a number of times but no, I think there’s some truth to the fact that I was doing, I was working with the TV show with Tyler when they were casting that so I think there’s some truth to that.”

 The ‘Falcon Rising’ actor admitted that he was indeed busy with Perry’s TV show. He also agrees with the fact that he is aware of the rumors that went around like wildfire.

In the same interview, Michael Jai White also mentioned the man behind the success of the MCU. He strongly believes that it was his dear friend, Wesley Snipes, who contributed largely to the growth of the MCU. Currently, the MCU has a huge fanbase all around the world, which has touched the billion mark. Additionally, the company has collected a profit of $28 billion. It is noteworthy that it’s still growing. From his words, it is clear that he is a man with great love for films.
