‘Young Jamie’ says that the Hollywood superstar has never been officially diagnosed with it and that he faces extreme difficulty’ while recognizing people’s faces. The Jui-Jitsu black belt expresses how crazy it must be for Brad Pitt to have one of the best faces ever and not be able to recognize it.

Can Prosopagnosia be treated and cured?

Currently, there is no known cure for Prosopagnosia. Although incurable, scientists are still researching and developing methods to manage the disease. One way of dealing with face blindness is to focus on other features, such as height, voice tone, hair color, weight, skin tone, walking style, etc.

Another hurdle is detecting the disease. Doctors conduct a series of tests to identify whether the patient has face blindness or another hereditary neurological disorder.

With no cure in sight, this disease leaves quite a big impact on an individual’s social life. Apart from not being able to recognize faces, it is quite difficult to explain the disease to the social circle. Share this with your family, friends, and colleagues to raise awareness.
