However, Joe Rogan, the host of one of the most famous podcasts in the world, realized its value and potential way back in 2007. In 2007, Joe Rogan went on the web TV show of American-Canadian comedian and filmmaker Tom Green. They were talking about the potential of podcasts and how to monetize them.

This conversation was quite inspiring and according to the UFC commentator, the thought of creating his podcast was planted at that moment. And he did exactly that, as he went on to create his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.

During his conversation with the American-Canadian comedian Tom Green, Rogan had an epiphany; creating and running his podcast will eliminate the influence of corporate organizations.

He said that this was the ‘craziest thing ever’. Moreover, Green explained how there was no pressure, and how it was different from TV and radio. In addition, there wasn’t any time constraint to the format.

Rogan said, “Well not only that. There isn’t that corporate pressure. You can’t just express yourself cause you’re expressing yourself to someone who’s selling advertising space. This, you need to just keep doing this. We need to figure out how you make money from this.

Rogan explained why he valued working free of restraints

In the interview, the 55-year-old candidly explained the reason why he loved the idea of creating his venture, as it would be free from restraint.

Moreover, he felt that non-creative people in suits were in charge of the creative people. The 55-year-old podcast host despised this constraint and did not want to push a message for those in the advertising space.
