Famous fitness enthusiast Joe Rogan has a tradition he follows, called Sober October. During an episode, he recollected an incident with the late chef, Anthony Bourdain, that he regrets to this day. The 55-year-old failed to fulfill a small request from Anthony Bourdain, which still bothers him. He was almost about to repeat the same mistake with his friend and stand-up comedian Bert Kreischer, but snapped back to his senses.

Joe Rogan felt terrible about the passing of Anthony Bourdain

The Veteran UFC Commentator still holds a deep regret for not refilling Anthony Bourdain’s glass of beer during their first podcast episode together. In episode #1892, the former Fear Factor host reunited with his gang of stand-up comics. The gang included Tom Segura, Bert Kreischer, Ari Shaffir, and Joe Rogan himself. The 4 friends celebrated the completion of Sober October by sharing a bottle of scotch and lighting up cigars.

The MMA analyst got lost in the conversation at a point and forgot to notice Kreischer, who signaled his glass was empty. A second later the podcast host was back to his senses and apologized “Oh… sorry… sorry… sorry”

He recollected the Bourdain incident and narrated to explain why he felt so apologetic towards Kreischer. “To this day, Anthony Bourdain asked for a beer once, on the first show we did, and I didn’t realize that that’s what he was asked for.”

The usually cheerful Rogan got gloomy and admitted, “He was just like looking at his beer and it was empty, and I didn’t get him another beer” and exclaimed “F*ck!

The gang started consoling Rogan, who felt emotional and asked, “Isn’t that weird?”

“Still bothers me…” and repeated himself “Like, I shoulda got a beer, but I was in the middle of talking…”

In episode #1868, the podcast host confessed that “When he died, I was f*cked up for a while,” referring to the celebrity chef. The beloved American chef passed away on 8th June 2018, which saddened a lot of people.

Joe Rogan regretted not filling Bourdain’s beer glass after he requested it. Since then, he’s constantly reminded of the disservice he did to his late friend.
