Jon Jones is arguably one of the best MMA fighters in history. He already has a turbulent career, yet many arguably consider him one of the best ever to step foot inside the octagon. But he isn’t done fighting and is set to return to the Octagon at UFC 285 against Ciryl Gane. However, he has a history of landing in legal trouble. Renowned podcaster Joe Rogan recalled the instance when he had a conversation with ‘Bones’ during his troubled times.
Jon Jones has found himself in trouble with the law on almost six occasions. His legal cases included him allegedly physically assaulting people, driving under the influence, and even testing positive for using substances.

Moreover, the former UFC champion was also arrested a few hours after his Hall of Fame induction in 2021. He was caught on the police body-cam footage for head-butting a car and yelling at the police officers in Las Vegas.
Joe Rogan recently posted a story on Instagram, recalling a conversation he had with ‘Bones’ while he was going through all those troubles.

Rogan has always been an advocate for Jon Jones, calling him the greatest fighter of all time. But he also believes that he is a wild person too. Rogan said, “I had a conversation with Jon Jones when all the sh*t was going down and said, ‘Listen dude, you’re a wild motherf***er.” The 55-year-old added, “That’s the type of guy that becomes the greatest of all time. You don’t get to be the greatest of all time, just being a normal person.”

The UFC commentator claims that great people are always under scrutiny for various reasons. He believes that no normal individual can become the greatest ever. Rogan told Jones that he can do better even after making several mistakes. He told ‘Bones’, “I know you made mistakes and I know you’ve done stupid sh*t. But you’re still the greatest motherf***er of all time, and you could show the world.”

Many MMA personalities, including Jones’ former rival, Daniel Cormier believe that Jon Jones has matured over the course of his MMA career. His legal problems are behind him now, as he looks to cement his legacy as one of the best UFC champions on March 4.
