Famed UFC commentator Joe Rogan recalled the AI interview, which imitated his and tech legend Steve jobs‘ voice. The conversation was an imagined one that left people speechless. The length of the AI podcast was a mere 20 minutes. It however talked about the life and work of Steve Jobs. Rogan touched on this incident on his podcast with the guest, Steven Rinella.
While joking about selling his podcast to an AI, the 55-year-old said, “They did an AI interview with me and Steve Jobs. I never met Steve Jobs. So they put together a podcast with me and Steve jobs.” It surprised Joe Rogan after hearing about the podcast. He believed that if somebody hears that, they might think it is an actual conversation. “It’s f**king wild because if you listen to it, you’d believe it’s true,” said the veteran UFC commentator.

The podcast went viral, and the AI kept creating new episodes every week. Even listeners were allowed to suggest topics and ideas for discussions. Joe Rogan felt terrified after listening to the podcast. The conversation indeed felt very spooky.

Many fans also reacted to the podcast created by Podcast.ai and found it unsettling. They expressed their fear of the rapidly growing technological advancements. The team of Podcast.ai revealed that AI had created the podcast on its own after researching Steve Jobs. It is a great achievement from a technological point of view, but many fans found it very distressing.

- AI podcasts are scary. Imagine an AI politics podcast where the generation prompt is “Talking Points” of an extremist group. They dig in to content with emotional value rather than objective truth, so imperfect content will still work as long as it uses the right buzz words.
