‘If You Don’t Know, Now You Know’- Khabib Nurmagomedov Hilariously Steals Dana White’s Iconic Promotion Line to Promote Eagle FC

Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement from the UFC back in March 2021. He surprised his fans and the MMA community by revealing his retirement after defeating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. ‘The Eagle’ shared this decision by saying, “Today, this was my last fight” and signed off from pro-MMA.

During his time in the promotion, the Russian lightweight put up a scoreboard that many fighters can only dream of. In addition to a 29 wins no loss undefeated career, he held the record for longest-reigning UFC Lightweight Champion. Many people regard the Dagestani fighter as the best fighting talent to enter the octagon.

After his retirement, Khabib has taken up the role of a coach and branched into the MMA promotion business as well. Recently, Nurmagomedov purchased the Russian MMA company Gorilla Fighting Championship, based in Dagestan. Furthermore, Khabib renamed it Eagle Fighting Championship.

Recently, Khabib’s promotion announced its first event on American soil. Eagle FC will host EFC44 in Miami, Florida. Consequently, a press conference was conducted in Florida for the same event in which he talked about his experience as a promoter, among other topics.

At the same conference, he shared a message for UFC president Dana White. After pausing the host, the 33-year-old said, “I have a message for Dana White. If you don’t know, now you know.”

Who is fighting in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC 44?

Khabib plans the Eagle FC to be highlighted by a matchup between Sergei Kharitonov and Tyrone Spong. Sergei (31-8) is a well-experienced fighter from fighting at Bellator and Modern Fighting Pankration. Tyrone (2-0) is a Surinamese Dutch professional boxer with kickboxing and MMA history.

They also set the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans to make an appearance. UFC inducted Evans into the UFC Hall of Fame 2019. Additionally, his opponent is yet to be revealed. Rashad ended his UFC career with 5 back-to-back losses in 2018.
