She said, “I was like, you know, this is something I know I could do. But when I first had the thought in my head it felt, it felt impossible if I’m being honest with you. Because I didn’t fight in the UFC.“

Sanko explains that one of the biggest challenges in broadcasting is navigating the two defined lanes. They are the hosts, anchors, and play-by-play people, who are experienced broadcasters and excel at television delivery.

The other is the analysts and commentators, who are former athletes or experts in their field. She acknowledges that the hosts and anchors have many tricks up their sleeves, but Sanko brings her unique perspective and expertise to the table as a commentator.
