The former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez fought his latest fight against Luri Lapicus. The fight ended in a no contest draw after Alvarez hit his opponent with illegal shots. In response, the referee took out a red card and disqualified ‘The Underground King’.
After the incident, a panel overturned the fight into a no-contest and gave Alvarez another fight. Ahead of his April 28 return to the cage, Alvarez attended a media interview session where he was asked about the negotiation status for a potential fight with Oscar De La Hoya in July.
Eddie Alvarez said, “Honestly, the whole boxing MMA thing when I watched it with Ben. And basically what I watched was a bunch of MMA fighters in the realm of boxing who had their heart, the courage, and were able to you know have the humility to put themselves on the line in a form and skill that they’re not professionals in and go put it out there.”

Alvarez continues “I have yet to see a boxer come and do that in the MMA realm and it’s really it’s kind of bothering me and it put me off. I’d like to see the courage on the boxing side for a guy to step in the MMA realm.”

Eddie Alvarez versus Oscar De La Hoya conversations finally end
Oscar De La Hoya is an Olympic gold medallist and a former professional boxer. He will make his return to the boxing ring after twelve long years. His last opponent was Manny Pacquiao, who defeated him by RTD after the eighth round.
Per reports, ‘Golden Boy’ was looking for a big-name opponent from MMA, but he has yet to zero in on one for his July 3 bout.

However, ‘The Underground King’ wants someone from the boxing world to step inside the cage with the MMA fighters.
