UFC commentator Jon Anik is again at the receiving end of scathing remarks from MMA fans. The play-by-play commentator made a personal remark about the former UFC ‘champ-champ’ Amanda Nunes while she was enjoying her last moments as a fighter in the UFC Octagon.

The Brazilian fighter had a comfortable night at the office when she dealt with Irene Aldana on June 10 at UFC 289. After defending her title with relative ease, she hung her MMA gloves, calling an end to an illustrious career. However, the American commentator couldn’t pick the wrong time to leave a wild note about the upcoming second child of ‘Lioness’.

Jon Anik forestalls Amanda Nunes’ second girl will take after her

While sitting at the commentator’s desk, Anik said, “It’s Amanda’s eggs that are inside Nina. So in all likelihood that second girl is gonna just look like her.”

These comments didn’t sit well with MMA fans, who then blasted the former ESPN correspondent. But Anik had already cautioned and apologized for the comments he was about to make.

Previously, Anik faced a similar backlash when he called the fight between Andre Ewell vs. Chris Gutierrez at UFC 258. He dropped the details that both fighters were facing custody battles. He stated, “Both fighters are facing custody battles involving their children”.
