‘It’s Not About the Money It’s About the Legacy’ – Colby Covington Says He Will Finish Kamaru Usman Before the Fifth Round

Colby Covington is all set to face Kamaru Usman in their much-expected rematch this November. This fight will be for the UFC Welterweight title and will mark the Octagon return of ‘Chaos’ after almost a year. In his last fight, Covington had faced Tyron Woodley at the UFC Vegas 11 event. ‘Chaos’ won that fight via a 5th round TKO.
Ever since that victory, people had been speculating as to when Covington will challenge for the title again. Now, as the fight is all set to happen on November 6, 2021, fans from all over the world have been talking about it. Recently during an interview, they asked Covington about his preparation for the fight.

He said, “Training great, you know we’ve improved a lot since that last I fought time. You know, it was a different game plan, different coaches, people that didn’t care about me. They just wanted the paychecks. Now I have Cesar and Daniel, who are my family, they’re my brothers.”
“They actually care about me, they don’t care about the money, it’s not about the money. It’s about the legacy, it’s about making our history and our mark on this sport. And I’m feeling better than ever man, you’ll see it on November 6th, when I rematch him on PPV that you’re going to see the best Colby Çhaos’ Covington 2.0 along with MMA masters, were going to take over the world and the UFC.”

Covington seemed very confident and happy with his training. He talked about the various new skills he has acquired since his last fight with Usman and how he plans to use them.

When Covington was asked about whether he will look to finish Usman or whether the fight would go down the whole 5 rounds. ‘ Chaos’ was quick and confident in his response and talked about finishing ‘The Nigerian Nightmare.
He said, “We’re gonna finish him. We just have a better game plan now. Cesar came up with my striking. He’s not gonna see the timing that I have in my skill set now and I didn’t have timing before when I fought him before. It was just all volume, all just trying to put intensity on him, and now we’re strategic.”
