‘I’ve Put My Heart and Soul’- Darren Till Distraught After UFC Fight Night Withdrawal

The UFC’s sophomore appearance on the ABC network has taken a hit as the main event for the card is scrapped. UFC middleweight Darren Till has been forced to withdraw from his booking with Marvin Vettori set for April 10. Chiefly, this comes in as his second straight withdrawal from a fight due to injury, the first being against Jack Hermansson in December.
‘The Gorilla’ took to social media and released a statement following his withdrawal and apologized to Vettori. A collarbone injury during training is the main reason why Till will have to sit this one out. Till’s extended overview of the situation was reflective, to say the least as he experienced a feeling of deja vu.

Additionally, Marvin Vettori also came out and shared his views on the breaking news that Darren Till had withdrawn. ‘The Italian Dream’ is chomping at the bit to actualize his opportunity to fight a top-ranked middleweight in the main event. Vettori is coming off a dominant decision win over Jack Hermansson as Till’s replacement for his previous fight cancelations.
Always do my part 100% and these bunch of pussies can’t make it.
Im next in line for the title, whoever has something to say show the fuck up in 2 weeks so I can whoop your ass and shut you off for good— Marvin Vettori (@MarvinVettori) March 30, 2021
UFC on ABC 2: Where does the organization go from here?
The leading MMA organization will be in scramble mode in order to put together a match-up that makes sense going forward. UFC middleweight Kevin Holland has reportedly already put his name in the hat to fight Vettori. As it stands, the UFC is yet to come out and make the fight official.
However, this hasn’t stopped both Vettori and Holland from having a brief social media exchange on the matter. Holland is no stranger to picking up a fight on short notice, and his track record is rather exemplary in doing so. In fact, ‘The Trailblazer’ rose to prominence in 2020 by being the UFC’s go-to man for short-notice match-ups.

Holland is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Derek Brunson. The UFC Vegas 22 defeat left plenty to be desired and snapped his five-fight unbeaten streak. For ‘Trailblazer’, pulling out a show-stopping performance against a surging contender like Vettori is exactly what he needs to get back on track.
