People in the UFC world are divided about who to pick as the winner of the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Some are in favor of ‘Iron’ Mike, despite him being 58 years old since he has more experience. The other group is for Jake Paul because he’s 30 years younger than him, and he is improving in his boxing career. Now, the UFC bantamweight champ is also in the mix of the discussion and recently gave his opinion on the fight.

What does Sean O’Malley think about Tyson vs. Paul?

The 29-year-old did not criticize the fight in any way, but he did give his two cents on who might win the fight and who had the upper hand. It is a given that Tyson’s skills in the ring are more polished than Jake Paul’s. However, ‘Iron’ Mike is 58 years old whereas Paul is 27 and this might give Jake Paul all the leverage in the fight. That is why ‘Sugar’ was vouching for Jake Paul and not Tyson.

He also said, “I just feel like Jake is too locked in, too in it, been in it for too long. With like last five years who’s been in it more, I think that matters…Speed I mean power, even at this point. Jake’s not a little guy, Jake’s a big fella. He’s just f** locked in. I think the rules set will play a role. You know, is it two minutes? Is it four rounds?” Sugar also finally said, “ [I] think Jake will probably dominate.”

‘Iron’ Mike’s legacy bears testimony to his dangerous punches. However ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ is 58 and might not have the stamina according to ‘Sugar’. Jake Paul gave his verdict on the fight and said that he was a little scared.

Jake Paul about facing Tyson

While appearing in the podcat with Lil Pump Jake Paul talked about his mentality for the fight. Claiming that the fight is 50-50, he was eager to be on the same level as Tyson. He said, “I’m younger, faster, sharper, and can hit at the same level that he can and be able to take his punches.”

Meanwhile, he was scared to face the legend as well. Paul admitted, “I’m a little scared, ’cause it is Mike Tyson and I feel like when I look across the ring, I’m just gonna have a wow moment.”

Interestingly, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, too, had a similar take on the matter. In a recent appearance on Logan Paul’s podcast, the former WWE star said, “If the old Mike Tyson shows up for five minutes, like, how do you get past that? right, right? That’s, he doesn’t need to be there for the whole fight, just needs to be there for five minutes, five seconds. Yeah, I don’t know I hear your strategy, and I see your strategy. I don’t know that I wouldn’t just run for two-three rounds and hope that he gets tired.

The reality of the situation, as it is seemingly beginning to sink in for the younger Paul, is that he is fighting Mike Tyson. While the world is writing away the youngest heavyweight champion because of his old age, the fact remains that he might have enough youth left in him to pull something out for just five minutes, like Triple H stated. And those five minutes could decide the future of Paul’s boxing career.
