Humanity has to come together in hard times. One such calamity that the world is witnessing now is the wildfires on the beautiful island of Hawaii in America. Raging wildfires have engulfed the town of Maui in Hawaii. The death toll has risen to 89, and it is now being called the deadliest wildfire in the US in more than 100 years. All forms of aid are welcome at the moment. In this scenario, UFC President Dana White is making his own attempts to help out the unfortunate island and its people.
As the death toll on Hawaii’s Maui Island and Big Island continues to rise, it has forced thousands of residents and tourists to evacuate. In addition, there is irreversible damage to the historic resort city of Lahaina. The state is struggling during such a tragedy, and, therefore, the UFC lynchpin has extended his aid of $1 million. However, the amount has the fans divided.

Following this, he added, “My heart goes out to all of you who suffered so much loss. But I want you to know you are not alone. The Hawaiian people embody the warrior spirit like no one else. We stand with you.”
Lastly, the UFC head honcho declared, “We are also doing this limited edition t-shirt with a 100% of the proceeds going to the Hawaii relief efforts… Reach out to me or buy [this] t-shirt. Let’s all help these people in Hawaii.”

While the UFC head has a net worth of almost $500 million and the UFC last year collected over a billion dollars in revenue last year, the amount felt slightly insignificant to some fans. Hence, some fans lashed out at him for the “pathetic” gesture.
A million?! Jesus Christ Dana, Jeff Bezos dropped 100 million.
How much cash did the UFC rake in last year?
Go back into those deep pockets and pull out a better tax deduction than that.— Wander (@_PiggyPie) August 12, 2023
UFC donating 1 million is like me donating 1 dollar. pretty pathetic really

Hence, it appears fans are divided on the amount that White has shelled out to help with the cause. But in such a dire situation, every gesture counts, and his popularity might attract the attention of others to Hawaii.
