The popular rapper has found himself in a sticky situation yet again after posting an anti-semitic tweet. Landing himself in trouble with fashion brands like Adidas, Balenciaga and Gap. The Veteran UFC commentator offers his take on censorship in today’s day and age and how the lines are getting blurred between truth and misinformation.

Joe Rogan elaborates on the Kanye West controversy:

Kanye West is a hugely celebrated rap artist. The songwriter influenced millions of people through his music for decades. But, his influence has misdirected people recently.

The 55-year-old podcaster brought up the controversies surrounding the rapper, in episode #1889 featuring Dr.Phil.

He spoke about the dangers of censorship in the modern day and said, “Because the correct answer to censorship…Like this whole Kanye West thing.” Bringing up the 45-year-old.

“You know, Kanye West is being cancelled by all these organizations…” referring to brands such as J.P Morgan, Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga.

The solution to it, according to The ‘Fear Factor’ host

Joe Rogan offered a solution “The best way to handle Kanye West is the way Lex Friedman did.” and added “Have a conversation with him and correct all the things that he’s saying, that you think are wrong … Or you think are generalizing…” “Or you think, that are misrepresentative of the truth.”

He also clarified, “But that’s not the world we live in today.” Speaking about the society we live in.

The Fear Factor host observed a certain hostility. “The world we live in today, we wanna erase people if we don’t agree with them.” Regarding the way society treats mistakes.

He further stated, “The problem with that is it scares people into communicating freely.” Talking about people’s freedom of speech.

The Fitness enthusiast is an advocate of freedom of speech but still believes West needs to curb his opinions. A well-informed individual needs to correct him of his mis-opinions.
