The Joe Rogan Experience is always on the radar for many reasons. The host and UFC color commentator is known for his brazen remarks that have often brushed with controversy. Among those topics, one that never seems to die is the issue of PED usage in the sports industry. Rogan recently again talked about the same in a segment.

Joe Rogan curious about PED use in the NBA

Joey Diaz and Joe Rogan were watching Ilia Topuria knocking out Herbert and the latter was speaking about the strategy Topuria used to knock his opponent out. Joey Diaz then retraced his steps to the discussion they were having earlier and talked about NBA icon LeBron James. He was astonished that a 39-year-old athlete could play for 35 minutes straight with God-level stamina.

Joey Diaz said, “ He is 39 years old, fu** LeBron….” and to this, Rogan replied, “LeBron looks awesome …” The podcaster also pointed out how Chael Sonnen once said that James was on ste**ds. Rogan curiously asked, “Do they test NBA players?” According to the hosts, Basketball players are only tested for alcohol and are not allowed to intake any alcohol during a game.

The rumour about LeBron James, taking steroids for the game has been speculated by other veterans as well. From Chael Sonnen to Kevin Garrett, everyone has accused him of using PEDs. But why?

Kevin Garrett unearths old rumors about alleged PED usage by LeBron James

March 2023 saw ex-UFC star Chael Sonnen talking to Andrew Schulz on the  ‘Flagrant 2’ podcast. Sonnen made an unconfirmed statement that both LeBron James and he shared the same drug dealer. He also stated that he was revealing this to remove any stigma around PED usage.

He said, “If the world understood what LeBron did….If you know what these performance enhancers did, then you would know why it does matter.” After this, the world seems to move on from the conversation. However, Kevin Garnett reignited the same trajectory during a discussion with Paul Pearce. The discussion went to whether LeBron’s son Bronny could “get a bucket on Bron.” This led Kevin Garnett to state “He is, but you saw his dad? His dad on that BALCO, he on that new juice”.

This is how the argument got reignited. What are your thoughts on the rumors about LeBron James having PEDs?
