Jon Jones is set to return to the UFC cage after a long hiatus. The former light heavyweight champ has been away from fighting for almost 3 years and fans were eagerly waiting for his comeback. He is set to face the #1 ranked French fighter, Ciryl Gane. ‘Bones’ has had an illustrious career till now. He has 26 wins and just 1 loss on his record. Many also argue that the lone loss is a debated result. His record speaks volumes about his will, strength, and determination.
In a recent video for UFC, Jones recounted a story from his early days that changed his view of the world. He accepted that he learned from his experiences that the world was a tough place and he needed to be tough to survive.

Jon Jones has faced some of the biggest fighters and trumped them all. He has been involved in controversies and it must have taken a lot for him to come back to training and fight again. Jones has been able to do it all.
It seems now that he has now disclosed the reason for his champion attitude. He talked about the first job he did and how he was a paperboy once who took pride in his work.
Jon Jones recounts a ‘cold’ story
Jones recounted a story for UFC that has been shared on their UFC Australia and New Zealand Instagram handle. Jon Jones said, “My first job I was a paperboy, I was a paperboy all winter. There was a woman who hired us to live in this duplex building with us. She was our downstairs neighbor and her kids did paper routes as well. For the wintertime this lady hired me and my brothers on the paper routes we’d walk through, snow that came up to our knees we did a great job everyone got their papers we were always on time and everything had a lot of pride in our first job”

While Jon Jones took a lot of pride in his work. The tough working conditions would have given him a few lessons on commitment and discipline, but what followed was the real takeaway for him.

Jones recounted, “As soon as the snow melted, she fired us. And rehired her kids by putting them back on the route. I thought that was the lowest thing ever. One of my best experiences was learning that it’s gonna be a very cold world.”

Jones is confident going against Gane
Jon Jones has looked very confident going into his fight against Ciryl Gane. He had earlier commented that he had watched ‘Bon Gamin’ train and found him lazy. ‘Bones’ will look to make a sparkling comeback in the fighting game. On the other hand, Ciryl Gane has an opportunity to beat an athlete not a lot of fighters have beaten. The magnitude of the fight is massive.
