Jon Jones was recently surrounded by controversy after the infamous incident that took place between him and Drug Free Sport International executives. Jones was accused of using profanity and giving out death threats to the drug testing officers, who soon pressed charges against the UFC heavyweight champion.

Jones is currently in recovery, trying to get better after suffering a torn pectoral muscle during training. Jones told the fans that he was taking a nap after celebrating a birthday party when he was disturbed by the officers, and once he was unable to produce samples, things got out of hand. Jones has now accused the drug tester of faking her side of the tale.

Jon Jones took to X after he heard rumors regarding his arrest. He told the fans how he had never been arrested and that he was away to attend a volleyball tournament alongside his daughters. Jones was accused of giving Crystal Martinez, the female drug tester, a death threat, but he claimed he said, “Tell everyone at headquarters not to send people to my home so early because it could be a dangerous environment,” instead.

He admitted to using profanity and said that his use of those words probably “pissed off” Martinez, and then ‘Bones’ accused her of framing her own angle; “she fabricated a story.” He said, according to police reports, This is, of course, in contrast to Martinez’s story.

Crystal Martinez lodged a complaint with the police after the incident. It was reported that Jones and the other drug tester came back after Jones was unable to produce a urine sample for them to test, and he became visibly irritated after a blood test was suggested.

Jones came out in the open regarding the arrest rumors and also admitted that he’s had trouble with the law in the past, but that’s no reason to go ahead and believe untested rumors regarding his arrest when he is in fact a free man who hasn’t hurt anyone. Things also caught the attention of one MMA insider.

Luke Thomas is a famous MMA insider with his own YouTube channel, where he’s seen breaking things down for many MMA fights and events. Since Jon Jones is one of the biggest names in the sport, it was obvious that Thomas would take his time with this new video.

Thomas noted that involving law enforcement was fully the choice of Martinez, and the UFC should have nothing to do with it all. “I don’t know, like why would the UFC need to talk to someone who felt like they were physically threatened and wanted law enforcement involved, that’s her right. And her choice no matter what so there is a conversation to be had about what this means for the UFC’s anti-doping program.”
