UFC star Jon Jones is buzzing over the support he received in the Las Vegas press conference ahead of his championship fight against Ciryl Gane. And everything finally seems to fall in place for the man who dominated the light heavyweight division for over a decade. The divisive figure had his fair share of troubles in the recent past, which includes a fallout with his high school sweetheart, Jessie Moses. As ‘Bones’ moves up a division to challenge for the UFC gold, he might have the support of the person he needs the most. While the MMA community remained fixated on his statements in the press conference, the Rochester native sought the support of his “wife” in the front row.

Notably, the former UFC champion added bulk to his frame and gears up for his comeback fight in almost 3 years. Therefore, the comparisons of him with the French opponent were a no-brainer. However, in their official face-off, both fighters appeared almost of the same size. The 35-year-old’s wife also opined the same who might have buried their hatchet.

Describing the experience as “surreal”, the 26-1-1 record holder expressed his gratitude for the support he received. Following this, the UFC Hall of Famer enquired whether it was the first time Jones came face to face with ‘Bon Gamin’.

The Gaidojutsu black belt holder, in return, replied, “That was my first time meeting Ciryl in person. Yeah, you know it’s funny because, in my mind, I just viewed him as being just like a big man that was just massive.”

“And I looked everywhere at my wife in the front row, and she’s like, ‘Jon, you look big. You look big’,” he excitedly added later on.
