Jorge Masvidal became a sensational fighter after he defeated Darren Till. ‘Gamebred’ was excited to watch his former opponent test his skills against the South African sensation, Dricus Du Plessis, at UFC 282. The pair combated each other in a middleweight bout at 185 lbs. And Du Plessis had the last laugh on Till but showed respect to his opponent at the post-fight press conference. He revealed a strange fact that Till should admit if he ever wanted to become a champion.

But Masvidal reminisced on his fight against Darren Till after the UFC 282 match-up. Where the fight was close, Masvidal capitalized on Till’s small mistake. Ultimately, this victory was the result that made Jorge Masvidal a global star in the UFC.

Jorge Masvidal commented on Darren Till after his defeat

Jorge Masvidal enjoyed the match between his former opponent, Darren Till, and upcoming superstar Dricus Du Plessis. ‘Gamebred’ shared his feelings on Facebook and wrote “Good Fight.”

We could consider this a callback to Masvidal’s fight against Darren Till, even though it was 3 years old at UFC Fight Night 147. Till was the fan-favorite as he took on a younger Masvidal, who was just as wild with his moves. He landed a clean blow to knock Till out in the second round and surprised everyone in the MMA world.

Even Jared Gordon took notice of this fight ahead of his match against Paddy Pimblett at UFC 282. And he considered himself to be the underdog, like Jorge Masvidal, who’ll surprise the favored opponent.

Unfortunately, Gordon couldn’t pull off a Masvidal as Pimblett won the match based on the judges’ decision after 5-rounds

Dricus Du Plessis had some advice for his opponent

‘Stillknocks’ looked fresh and ready at the UFC 282 post-fight press conference. Du Plessis scored a brutal rear-naked choke and injured Till for his potential last match. After a well-deserved victory against Darren Till, Du Plessis commented, “I think Darren proved that he is an incredible fighter“But, I do believe if he wants to make any run at being successful, he needs to fight at welterweight.”

Du Plessis politely stated that the middleweight wasn’t for Till. And politely stated his opinion that welterweight is more suited for Till’s talents.
