American UFC star fighter Jorge Masvidal called out the UFC welterweight champion’s bluff. ‘Street Jesus’ has not featured in an Octagon fight since his loss to Colby Covington at UFC 272. Although Masvidal has a poor recent record inside the Octagon, he remains one of the most talked about fighters. He has lost 5 of his last 8 battles. Still, he remains sharp enough to pull off the rug from Leon Edwards’s words.

Gamebred‘ has always had a bone to pick with ‘Rocky’. This all goes back to when Jorge Masvidal faced Darren Till in March 2019. Both the fighters were involved in a backstage tussle. The ‘Street Jesus’ was giving an interview post-fight when Edwards asked him about fixing up the fight date. Masvidal replied maybe, maybe not.

This got Edwards riled up, and he replied with “Fu*k you“. It was enough to spark a fight between both the warriors.

In an interview with MMA Junkie in Spanish, he said, “That’s called blah, blah, blah. The guy is literally the champion right now. If he told Dana White and the UFC he wanted to fight me, the UFC makes it happen like that. Why? Because I’m the one that sells the most pay-per-views in that entire division by like four, five times. The numbers are there, proven.

According to Masvidal, Edwards should not focus on calling him out but instead on signing the contract if he wants it.

Furthermore, both fighters since have gone on to have different career paths. ‘Rocky’ has claimed the Welterweight title against Kamaru Usman to everyone’s surprise. Whereas Masvidal has fallen off the grace.
