Controversies shroud the MMA career of Conor McGregor, be they inside the ring action or outside. ‘The Notorious’ is away from the Octagon for over a year now, recovering from his leg injury. He last competed in the Octagon at UFC 264 against Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier.

Since then, MMA fans are speculating about his return to the Octagon. If anything is to go by McGregor’s recent social media posts, his fans certainly are hopeful that he is set to mark his return at the earliest.

The Irishman keeps his fans entertained with his training videos. While he has built a shredded physique that might prompt him to shift weight division, his ‘gains’ haven’t impressed everyone.

As the former UFC champion gears up for his Hollywood debut and potential return to the Octagon, he might have missed a few official formalities.

According to TSN, Conor McGregor is the only active MMA fighter yet to be tested by USADA. The American organization has a reputation for the strict enforcement of rules. Thus, it remains an enigma to be decoded why The Irishman is the odd one left out.

Going through the UFC anti-doping policy demands that the only way McGregor gets an exemption would be if he gets his UFC contract terminated or provides UFC a notice of his retirement. In either situation, MMA fans will feel the blunt.

Reportedly, both the USADA and Conor’s team haven’t made a comment on this development. A glimmer of hope remains in case the Dublin-born star enters the USADA testing pool and provides two negative samples before his fight.

In the midst of all this chaos and uncertainty, former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo took a dig at Conor and his shredded physique.

In a recent Q&A YouTube video on his channel, ‘Triple C’ responded to the news of McGregor not being tested by USADA since 2021.

He replied, “He’s on that privileged list. That’s crazy. Those are things to bring up… Yeah, but ‘roids are not going to help, Conor. Of course, he’s on that sh*t knowing that. But it ain’t going to help him. The dude needs to stay away from coke. That’s what he needs to do.”

These words made a round and reached the ears of another UFC welterweight fighter, Jorge Masvidal. He shared an article that explains the troubles Conor might attract amid Henry Cejudo’s comments. He captioned it, “Is this snitching or no?… 😲”

Despite having fought more than a year back, McGregor ranks #11 in the official UFC lightweight rankings.

Both MMA fighters, Conor and Henry, dominated the UFC ring and eventually became champions in two different weight divisions. While Henry Cejudo became UFC champ in featherweight and bantamweight; Conor McGregor achieved the same feat in lightweight and featherweight.

Henry hanged his UFC gloves in 2020 post his title defense win against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. Many suggested that his retirement might be temporary. However, both are going back and forth and exchanging words in the recent past, including the incident where Henry suggested Conor fight a ‘winnable opponent’ on his return.

In reality, the chances of a potential fight remain slim.
