Muhammad Mokaev was a rising undefeated star in the UFC. But then the bravado got to his head, it seems, as he began taking liberties with his opponents outside the cage. Remember his beef with Manel Kape during the UFC 304 fight week that eventually led to his getting thrown out of the UFC? It seems the Arab-English fighter sucker-punched Manel Kape in the fighter hotel. It didn’t matter that he apologized for it. That’s the one rule for fighters outside the Octagon—no fighting out of competition. “You put yourself in this position,” Dana White unfortunately remarked about the Dagestani following the end of DWCS Season 8.
On top of that, there were rumors that the Russian star tried to negotiate with PFL before his UFC contract ended, which also did not sit well with the UFC CEO. Meanwhile, he signed with Brave CF and snatched a win there before moving on to Karate Kombat.
However, one UFC star who has supported Mokaev through all of this is the Chechnyan wolf himself, Khamzat Chimaev. Mokaev and Chimaev share a bond, not just because of their shared religion, but also because the Arab-Englishman trained with the ‘Smesh Bros’ when that was a thing. The support has continued, from Mokaev getting booted from the UFC to now him competing at Karate Combat.

‘The Punisher’ posted some pictures from the tournament and said, “I’m in karate before GTA 6.” Chimaev did not miss the chance to comment, posting two emojis to express his elation. He commented, “🥇🦾,” and Mokaev replied, “🫂❤️.”

Khamzat Chimaev has been vocal before about the unceremonious cut of the Dagestani from UFC after his contract expired. During an interview with Hustle Vlog, ‘Borz’ said, “It’s a pity what happened, well, yes, it’s a difficult situation. I think most likely over time [he will come back], he is young and very technical, the guy fights well and hits well.” Well, it seems like the setback did not deter Mokaev from his goals and he has since moved on to win fights in all the different promotions he competed in. Let’s see how he conquered his debut fight in Karate Kombat 54.

After UFC and Brave FC, Mokaev proves his prowess at Karate Kombat 54
The flyweight phenom did not win his debut fight but rather secured a vicious kick to his opponent’s body in Round 2. It was so brutal that even a layman would be able to say who won, and he did not need any scorecards. He let his skills speak for him, and it clearly said: Mokaev is just getting started.
The UFC boss had stated about Mokaev, “I always say this: this is an opportunity to be here and to perform in front of the entire world. And [Mokaev] is just a guy that did everything wrong and p*ssed these guys off.” He had also mentioned that the matchmakers were not happy with the Russian’s behavior, which was one of the main reasons that UFC let him go. The altercation with Kape at UFC 304 fight week was just the match that lit the fuse.

But Mokaev won the hearts of MMA fans with his latest victory. They did not stop at requesting the UFC head honcho to bring Mokaev back into the UFC. Fans commented things like, “Bring him back, he will behave and compete properly. The UFC is for the best fighters in the world to compete with each other. Muhammad Mokaev is a part of that group.”
Will the boss man reconsider his decision after seeing the latest fight? Will Chimaev have any hands in convincing the boss man? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
