It looks like the two fighters from the UK will be over the moon this week thanks to the UFC. UFC 304 is about to start and ahead of the iconic event, UFC has launched personalized shorts for Leon Edwards and Paddy Pimblett! ‘The ‘Baddy’ (21-3 MMA, 5-0 UFC) always wanted some custom fight gear for his UFC 304 fight against Bobby Green. Although there was no official announcement on the merchandise, Pimblett will be donning custom orange shorts as per the latest rumors.

The promotion incorporated stylish custom fight gear and equipment for their athletes and they were introduced at UFC 300 with Alex Pereira and Zhang Weili. Along with that, Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje also sported custom-designed fight wear. Pimblett was elated by the news and after seeing the shorts he said, “It’s exactly what I’ve envisioned,” to MMA Junkie.

He explained his excitement stating, “I’ve envisioned coming out, the lights go black, the crowd goes bananas as my song comes on, everyone’s singing, going mad, and I’ve just got my orange shorts on, just like back in the day when I’d come out for Cage Warriors with the orange shorts and take over the arena.” Even the fans are excited about the new shorts and commented on the same.

Fans react to the custom shorts for UFC 304

This is not the first time that UFC has launched custom-designed shorts for their fighters. During UFC 300, the stars got their fight shorts ahead of the bouts as well. Venum and UFC had released a few custom shorts for UFC 300 and the designs incorporated the roots and background of each fighter. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor also wanted his custom shorts. He even gave some idea of what it would look like. He wanted his shorts to have the US dollar vill printed on them, signifying the money he made from UFC.

Fans are excited about the UFC 304 shorts and went to the website to check for themselves. One fan said, “I love that the UFC is doing this now so much,” while another chimed in and wrote, “Edwards got nice color.”

Another fan pointed out the names written on the shorts and said, “Those orange shorts would be awesome without “PIMBLETT” on them.” Paddy Pimblett had requested UFC to give him custom shorts, especially in the orange color. This request is not surprising because the orange and white shorts have followed him around throughout his career. He revealed that the color was inspired by the UFC legend Kazushi Sakuraba.

Fans seem to love the shorts for Edwards, as one mentioned, “Leon’s shorts are clean.” Another UFC viewer wrote, “Leon’s shorts are fire,” while one UFC fan was disappointed because the shipping had not started yet. They wrote, “Nice! Shame shipping is not until mid-August.”
