MMA fighter A.J. McKee had to display his affection towards the Japanese culture. The country has a rich culture of warriors, who swear to protect their lords. These warriors are called samurais and are widely revered in pop culture. Because samurais are associated with a devil-may-care attitude, which goes really well with their exceptional swordsmanship and battle tactics. At least, that’s how they’re portrayed in classic Akira Kurosawa films. But, maybe McKee has taken it too far, by spending a ridiculous amount on a traditional samurai outfit, according to MMA fans.
