There was a recent study that claimed the raccoon population there is down by 99%, and they couldn’t locate any marsh rabbits or bobcats. These motherfuckers are so capable that they’ve taken to eating alligators.” The proliferation of pythons in the Everglades is a direct result of people releasing their exotic pets into the wild. A few dopey individuals bought these exotic pets as trendy accessories, only for them to become a big problem a few decades later.
