“My Family and I…” – After 200+ Days in Prison, Cain Velasquez Details What’s Next For The Former UFC Champion

The MMA world was recently delighted to know that former UFC champion, Cain Velasquez, was granted a $1 million bail and was released from prison. After spending almost 8-months behind the bar in an attempted to murder case. The judges finally granted him bail.
Velasquez was sued by an individual named Harry Goulart. The case was filed against the wrestler, be he had allegedly threatened the man’s life by shooting at him. Moreover, 10 other gun-related charges were pressed against the former champ.

However, after a prolonged campaign of ‘Free Cain’ circulated the entire MMA world, the judge announced his decision and Velasquez was out. Meanwhile, the world was celebrating. Here’s was he had to say right after coming out of jail.
Cain Velasquez had positive messages for his fans & supporters
A reporter confronted Velasquez as he stepped outside the prison. They both greeted each other and then the reporter asked the UFC vet if he had something to say. Velasquez gave a very heartfelt message to all his fans.

After eight months in custody, Cain Velasquez will have to wear a GPS tracker and not come within 300 yards of the alleged victims, per Velasquez's attorney.

Velasquez further added, “Just thanking everyone who had my support. I love all of you. Yeah, man! Keep continuing to be better as a person, always do good things, and just make something positive out of this terrible situation. My family and I… were gonna do that.”
What led Velasquez to shoot at another man?
The reason for Velasquez’s action was that the alleged shooting target, Goulart, had tried to endanger Velasquez’s 4-year-old son’s wellbeing while he was attending a child-care center run by Goularte’s mother, Patricia Goularte.

This led the retired MMA fighter to take a drastic step. However, several UFC personalities like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Daniel Cormier were saddened by what happened.

Nonetheless, after a number of campaigns and immense support from the MMA world, Velasquez was finally out. They flooded social media with positive messages. Moreover, everyone believed that justice has been served.
