“My Kids Were Really Young” – $120M-Worth Joe Rogan Disclosed Financial Concerns With Wife Jessica Ditzel After Birth of Second Daughter Nearly a Decade Ago

The UFC commentator Joe Rogan has been a popular TV face for a long time now. The MMA fans usually see the standup comedian commenting on the sidelines of the Octagon and holding a mic for his popular podcast. While the fans might envy Rogan’s popularity, all was not rosy for the American artist in the early 2000s.

In reality, Joe Rogan was struggling to make ends meet in 2001. This was before his breakthrough role at Fear Factor, which propelled him to celebrity status.

In episode #1390 with Tim Dillon of the Joe Rogan Experience, the former TV presenter talks about his Fear Factor gig. Further, he explains how he regretted committing to the show on its return.

The NBC-produced show aired from 2001 to 2006. The show made Joe Rogan an American household name. While the show was canceled in 2006, it made a brief second stint in 2011. Unfortunately, the show couldn’t achieve the same heights, excitement, and popularity among the audience. Sadly, the show met its familiar end.

What did Rogan say?

The American commentator Joe Rogan was part of both editions. In a conversation with Tim Dillon, he shared his experience of hosting the show and what made him come back.

Joe Rogan explained his disinterest and said, “When I was on season 5 of Fear Factor, I remember thinking I don’t know how much longer I can do this.”

The guest Tim Dillon asked a follow-up question and guessed whether the repetitiveness could be the reason. The 55-year-old resigned and commented, “It was the same thing over and over again.”

Dillion asked with confidence whether any amount of money would persuade him to come back as a host to the popular show. To this, the former host replied in the affirmative and stated the reason for his return.

Rogan said, “I did come back in 2011. I came back, but I didn’t have as much money back then, and also it was a lot more money than I got the first time. It was like a big deal.”

Further, he explained his financial and family situation. He said, “I was just having children then. My kids were really young… Then you think about two children and you think about two children that are like at the time two and one. You’re like, oh my god, like this is, this is serious.”

The UFC commentator spoke about the money he earned with the original season of Fear Factor. Rogan also mentioned that the money sustained his family for a long time.

Concluding his statement, he confessed that, “I felt like this overwhelming responsibility to squirrel away more money”. But when the former Fear Factor started his second stint, he soon realized that this was a mistake.
