The UFC 283 main event was dominated by Jamahal Hill. The match took place in Jeunnesse Arena, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the home country of his opponent, Glover Teixeira, who was the former light heavyweight champion in the UFC. But, sadly the champ had to give his belt to the deserved contender. However, the MMA world saw two great contenders go at each other and fight their hearts out to give everyone a memorable night. Hill went the extra mile, however, and created a new UFC record. This is a testament to how good he’s been throughout the 5-rounds they went at each other. Furthermore, many pros took note of the splendid defensive display across the board by the older contestant.

Therefore, he managed to stay on top of the opponent throughout the match. Furthermore, Hill tested Teixeira’s resolve with each strike, but the Brazilian stood strong. Despite taking 232 strikes for the duration of 5 rounds, Teixeira refused to go down.

Earlier in the event, the audience showed animosity towards Brandon Moreno for defeating another Brazilian champion, Deiveson Figueiredo. When the former light heavyweight champ demanded the audience show respect to the new champion. Because Brazilian fans tend to lose sight of the fact that it’s just a game, and take it a step too far.

But Teixeira’s words, defending his fellow UFC fighter, melted the audience. And also earned the respect of several UFC fighters, including Henry Cejudo, and Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling.
