Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback in American football, recently announced his retirement for the second year in a row. Despite the rumors, this time it seems that Brady is definitely stepping away from the game he loves the most. He, however, received a surprising farewell message from none other than the Irish superstar, Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor, the first UFC double-division champion, is proud of his Irish heritage and often carries the Irish flag with him into the octagon. He is also famous for his contributions to the Irish community, such as saving the Irish Lourdes Celtic Football Club and making a generous donation to the Savannah county fire department.

However, when McGregor sent a tweet wishing Brady well in his retirement, it didn’t get good reception. ‘The Notorious’ tweeted, “No finer Irish American football legend! I know the next chapter will continue your winning streak-Sláinte!” Despite his good intentions, the tweet was met with criticism from fans who took to social media to troll McGregor.

The UFC superstar Conor McGregor often is on the receiving end of flame from his own fans. Moreover, the former double-division champ has no filter and speaks his mind on social media. Subsequently, his tweets and posts come out abrasive; his fans do not hold back on their responses either.

Although, on this occasion, McGregor was just wishing farewell to Brady. But fans were having none of it.
