Joe Rogan and Spotify’s deal, which made JRE podcast Spotify exclusive, was not worth $100 million, as formerly reported in 2020.

As a podcast platform, the multi-year deal was a pivotal deal for the music-streaming giant for bringing in the biggest podcast in the world.

However, lately, the JRE podcast is getting a lot of resistance from around the world. Even Spotify has gained a lot of questions over its content policies. Though the music-streaming giant has added advisory notice and removed many controversial episodes, the JRE podcast is still on the platform.

Also, people targeted the UFC commenter over other past issues. The former Fear Factor host has offered apologies and plans to improve in the future.

Though some people are clamoring for the show to get canceled, many enjoy its free nature. The show has somewhat of a cult following. It has more average listeners than major news networks. Above all, it is an asset for Spotify against its rival.

The three and half year deal will see Rogan receive at least $200 million, and the figure could go higher. Also, the deal is up for renewal in 2023, as reported by the New Your Times.

UFC President Dana White has shown public support for his friend and employee. On the Full Send Podcast, he said that Rogan knows what he is talking about and does his homework.
