While the ‘Gamebred’ targets a return to the winner’s column and break his 3-loss slump against Gilbert Burns, ‘Chaos’ intends to wreck the party on April 8. The Miami native, in the twilight years of his MMA career, might boost his title credentials with a win against the Brazilian at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami. However, the recently announced next in line for the title shot, Covington intends to exact revenge after the one-year anniversary of their altercation outside a Miami restaurant.

Notably, the 35-year-old subtly dropped hints at the UFC 287 plans in a conversation with Submission Radio. In addition, he discussed his next opponent inside the octagon, Leon Edwards, and unleashed a flurry of insults at Khamzat Chimaev. After being asked whether the Clovis native would rock up to the Miami event, he stressed his unpredictable nature.

Thus, he said, “You know, boys, I’m unpredictable. You don’t know where I’m gonna be. I might be that, I might not, you know. I make moves in silence, but you know everything I do is big.”

“And you know that we got some things in store. We’re definitely gonna be taking a couple trips to some places soon. So keep an eye out,” the 17-3 record holder added later on.
