The famous TV presenter was a bodybuilding fan while growing up. As a result, the color commentator is obsessed with fitness and thus his ‘Sober October’ challenge stems from this obsession. Notably, he met both of his childhood influences, Ronnie Coleman and Dorian Yates, on JRE. However, in both instances, it was Joe Rogan’s physique that became the focal point.

In episode #1489 of JRE, Rogan shared mic duties with the 8-times Mr. Olympia, Ronnie Coleman. The duo talked about the American bodybuilding icon’s professional journey. Further, the legendary bodybuilder detailed the 13 surgeries that he had to go through post his bodybuilding days.

After the shooting podcast, ‘The King’ shared a photo of both standing with each other. The fans can see a ripped Rogan alongside the 300 lbs bodybuilding legend.

Significantly, Coleman won his first Mr. Olympia title in 1998 and then consecutively defended his title until 2005.

Dorian Yates and Joe Rogan’s rare photo

In episode #989 of JRE, the former Fear Factor host sat with Dorian Yates. The Brit is a consecutive 6-times Mr. Olympia champion. The duo looked at the bodybuilding legend’s old photos and discussed DMT, Ayahuasca, and Palumboism.

After the podcast, the Brit posted of them together. While Yates enjoyed his smoke, Rogan looked happy after meeting one of his childhood influences.

Yates captioned the photo, “So, what did you all think of the podcast with @joerogan?”

Interestingly, Dorian Yates retired in 1996 after winning the coveted Mr. Olympia title for the 6th consecutive time. And soon after that, Ronnie Coleman began his impressive run of 8 consecutive Mr. Olympia titles. Some fans point out that the retirement of Dorian Yates paved the way for ‘The King’ to achieve new unscalable heights in bodybuilding.

Hence, the retirement of one legend became a catalyst for the emergence of another.
