Rashad Evans might have retired in 2018, but his fans still remember his bouts like they happened yesterday. Unfortunately, he lost five fights simultaneously before retiring. But he will soon return to fighting.
In fact, Evans was present at the Eagle Fighting Championship’s press conference. Ex UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov purchased Gorilla Fighting Championship and rebranded it after his own nickname. Following the Eagle FC press conversation, Evans spoke to ‘The Schmo’ about his retirement, his return, and also about Khabib‘s MMA promotion.
Speaking about his return on January 28, Evan said, “Hopefully I get an opponent but you know, we are working on that date…. If something don’t work on that date, then the next card would be March 11. So maybe something by then will materialize but you know, I’m just, I’m just looking to go out there and just, you know, see whoever I can see out there. And just, you know, make it happen.”

Fans hope to see Evans fight at Khabib’s promotion. There are several changes in the promotions weight divisions. A total of 8 weight classes have been introduced: 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185, 205, and lastly heavyweight. However, Evans was hoping that there would be a 195 pounds division as well. Evans said, “I mean, I was hoping he’ll say 195, but I’ll fight at 205…. I’m not trying to cut any weight at this point in my life. You know, I walk around like about 215. So you know, drop a little 10 pounds real quick.”
While Evans doesn’t have an opponent yet, fans hope to see him fight some incredible bouts.
